Christmas in this culture is all about go-go-go. This month has been full of hanging out with people, lots of food and go-go-go. I'm trying to enjoy the packed schedule, even though it's against my true nature of needing alone-time, but I know it's not going to last much longer. My life is about to be totally different, so I'm going to go-go-go until I fly out and can go no more.
Today was the 5th annual Heather-Melanie-Christmas-Shopping fun. Heather and I were efficient in our to-do list and got everything on our lists, did some exchanges, and went to lunch! I love Heather and have loved watching her grow up; when we started our Christmas shopping sprees years ago, she was just 9 years old. She's totally grown up and just precious!
Had dinner at Adam and Maegan's house. Jimmie and Max (Pickles' boyfriends) were so much fun! I forgot how great it is to have a small four-legged-companion; I get to see Pickles' tomorrow though. It's always great to be with mission-minded people, talk about life and how we long to be on the mission-field. I'm eager to meet Chloe Belle Keel (due in Feb) through our extended friendship overseas. Praying for the growing Keel family!
