Journey of Purpose : Melanie Dill

06 January 2010

Day 12

With my dad still in town, we went to breakfast and began errands. We went to Barnes & Noble to pick up a book that a friend in South Africa requested, Belk to get some new pjs and a pair of gloves, Home Depot for home repair supplies and ended up at the doc-in-the-box as my dad insisted I get a seasonal flu shot.

To reduce my stress, Lynn and Heather came over to clean out my closets and under the sink cabinets; we made piles of throw-away, give-away, pack and send home with Lynn piles. Lynn also took some sewing needs of mine home so she could repair some clothes before I left. Wish I'd taken a before and after picture of closets and storage. I was truly in a panic before they came; they helped me tackle lots of projects and get things done. I'm learning to ask for help and seeing the blessings when I do. I praise the Lord for precious friends and team-mates like these! Thank you Lynn and Heather for you help, support and encouragement tonight.
