Last night, my friend Meagan & I drove to Cape Town to watch the Germany vs. Spain World Cup Semi-final match on the big screen at the Fan Fest. It was so much fun! There was a huge crowd, tons of vendors- food, souvenirs, art, music acts, FIFA music videos, and awesome people-watching opportunities. It was wild! Without tickets to a match, this was the next best thing!
World Cup ends Sunday. I'm excited because this town I live in will get back to normal, but it'll also be sad to see the county's excitement/unity fade with time. But, memories of this historic event are numerous & priceless!
