I love the ladies I work with- they're talented, funny, full of personality, and LOVE to eat. One of my friends, Julie (shown in picture on right), loves chicken more than anything on earth. Since I love having people over, I told her I'd invite her for chicken at my house. We made the date, invited some other friends & had a Dinner Party!
I went to Ocean View to pick everyone up around 6:30pm- I'd already prepared most of the meal- just the chicken needed to be baked once we got back home. Once home, I got them playing a card game (BS) and I went to finish dinner. Julie, who wasn't excited about playing cards- telling me she 'doesn't do card games' was the very one laughing & having the best time!
I was back & forth in the kitchen for almost another hour & a half because my oven-bulb decided to go out. Figures- just as you have a bunch of company over, something breaks. The chicken finally cooked & we sat & ate: mustard-crumb chicken, fresh salad, corn on the cob, mushroom rice. I loved having these ladies over. God has truly blessed me with a place I can have guests over and enjoy time away from work! I definitely see my co-workers (friends) as a huge reason I'm in South Africa!
