Today was the first day of Holiday Club (similar to an American VBS). As many of you know, Living Hope tries to provide Biblical, educational, fun alternatives to out-of-school temptations & time-wasting that can so easily attract our children & teens.
Today we had about 70 kids in our morning program & 13 teens in the afternoon! Numbers are usually lowest the first day, so we're excited to see how many continue to come & hear about God's love!
Pray for us this week, as we're short-handed: just 2 'full-time' Living Hope adults (with 4 teens helping in the morning program). I get overwhelmed thinking about just 2 of us alone in this task, but God provided greatly today - enough teen helpers to lend a hand & the children were fairly obedient!
My favorite part of the day was Worship - Natalie (my team leader) taught our kids a new song: God of This City by Chris Tomlin. I've always loved this song but hearing these children & teens sing this song about Capricorn was so moving. Natalie explained the words & the meaning & you could quickly tell that the lyrics were reaching the hearts of these kids! Capricorn is full of those that we sung about - those in darkness, hopeless, restless. I pray God will transform Capricorn because of the prayers of His people!

God of This City
By Chris Tomlin
[Verse 1]
You're the God of this City
You're the King of these people
You're the Lord of this nation
You are
[Verse 2]
You're the Light in this darkness
You're the Hope to the hopeless
You're the Peace to the restless
You are
There is no one like our God
There is no one like our God
[Chorus]
For greater things have yet to come
And greater things are still to be done in this City
Greater thing have yet to come
And greater things are still to be done in this City
