Multiple cultures, languages.
Hard home-lives.
Economic struggles.
Oppressive-history ingrained.
Lack of positive authority figures present in their lives.
Lack of proper support structures (physical, emotional, mental, spiritual).
First 2 days of camp... HARD.
Discipline issues; teens with little respect for others or self.
Day 3 of camp: re-thinking focus/strategy & intentional prayer by staff for teens to be truly transformed & for God to draw them into relationship with Him. After lots of Spirit-led schedule changes, God moved & broke the hardened hearts of our teens & even many staff!
I'm one that can be very skeptical of multiple/mass conversions, but tonight was different. Tonight the Spirit fell & God moved in teens' lives.
17 FIRST time salvations!
46 re-commitments... Which we explained to them that what they experienced tonight was God confirming He's with them & drawing them deeper into relationship with them.
Prayer works.
Prayer changes thing!
