July 2012 recap
July was a whirl-wind for me. I was privileged to come back to the US for about 3 weeks in July. Initially it was solely for the purpose of being in a wedding of my sweet friends (see blog about the wedding), but as only God can do, He turned the visit's purpose into much more than a party. While I was back, I was able to meet with my Guidance Team, Pastor Danny Wood (of my home/sending church), other potential church partners (in Alabama), and many of my supporters.
The purpose and need for such meetings was because of ministry opportunities that have come my way in Cape Town. As of September 1, 2012, I will be leaving Living Hope's organization and move full-time under Capricorn Community Church's pastor and staff. I'm sad to be leaving Living Hope, but God has clearly shown me that I'm needed at the church and the fruit of ministry in Capricorn Community Church is greater in my gift-set! This is going to be a hard transition. There's a lot to do in our community and many families that the church needs to minister to. I will follow the lead of our pastor and also continue the variety of roles I'm already involved in at the church: admin, organization, leadership team, youth ministry, discipleship, international team/visitors ministry ... and the list goes on.
I'm honored to be given this opportunity to serve the local church and this broken-community. Please pray for me as this transition continues this next month and God shows the church where He wants us to go with this new chapter of intentional ministry to families and the community.

Thanks for coming along for the ride. This journey is a purposeful one!
