Coffee and a sweet time with God this morning. Got up before the crowd at Lindsay's house, got some coffee and just sat and read. The quiet, stillness of the morning was so refreshing.
Went to Jay's church: Life Community this morning. Brought Georgia, Lindsay, Luke (Lindsay's husband), Sarah, and Jim (Sarah's husband). It was so great to hear Jay speak, see his growing church and be encouraged by the life of Lydia, Paul and Silas (Acts 16). Georgia and I had to hit the road after 'amen' was said. We had to get her back for a meeting in Auburn. So, after the service, I shuffled up the aisle to say good-bye to Jay. I couldn't get words out. All I could do was wipe tears and hug him. He was precious and let me cry; I said good-bye to Shantel and then booked it to our car. I'm really going to miss them!
Had dinner at my favorite Mexican restaurant in Birmingham, Habaneros, with my sweet friend Ashley. She filled me in on her life, looked at my South Africa photos and graciously bought me dinner! So glad I got to see her one more time.
