And the Lord was adding to their numbers daily!

I've been greatly burdened that our Living Hope Afternoon Clubs in Capricorn were dropping numbers and not as lively as they used to be. I've been committing that to prayer for weeks. At the beginning of the year, we split the children and teens into two separate clubs. We knew this would be a hard transition but knew it was the right thing to do. We've been having around 8-10 in attendance the last few weeks. I don't know if others have been discouraged, but I sure have been.

I spoke to our Capricorn Team Leader and expressed my concerns and ideas. We've got some great ideas and a plan for marketing the clubs to new families. However, the only action step that's been taken so far is PRAYER.

On Monday, we had 27 teens come to Capricorn Living Hope Club. On Wednesday, we had 30 teens in attendance! I remember the frustration and questioning on the days of only 8 teens in club and REJOICE today for God bringing teens into the arms of loving Living Hope Staff.

After the events of previous days (blogged on 11 May), I KNOW there are teens that need to hear about the love of Jesus and be reminded that God didn't intend for life to be so messed up. This week, we've been teaching about the effects of drug and alcohol abuse in Clubs. It's no accident that I dealt with a drunken-domestic-violence case this week. I'm reminded that Living Hope is meeting the needs of Social Issues that are blatantly in the community!

I'm so thankful that the Lord is adding to our numbers. Pray that we have 50 teens at Club one day soon!
