Unique Small Group Room

I laugh when I think about the amazing church campus I left in the States. After many, many years of cramped space & inadequate facilities, our church went through an amazing building campaign & the youth benefited greatly from the church's giving!
Now, after hearing God's call, my life & church look a lot different... When you worship at a church-plant, you often share space. We only have one large gathering room; it has many functions during the week: Sunday School space, Sunday Worship Sanctuary, Music lesson studio, Worship Practice space, Youth Room, Ladies Ministry, Prayer Room... Sometimes (most of the time) the space is being used when I need to have a separate meeting. My weekly Girls Small Group most always gets bumped out of this one-room-space. I find it humorous that my meeting room ends up being MY CAR. I turn sideways in the drivers seat & the girls pile in the back & passenger seat. We open our Bibles to study, pray, share struggles, and sometimes even share a snack together in that cramped little car! God is using that vehicle to build discipleship relationships & grow strong girls!
Oh the challenges of planting a church but oh the joys of simplicity.

"Oh the joys of simplicity."... couldn't have said that better. I'd add "and the freedom that simplicity brings" as well. I'd be willing to bet that when you look back on this experience at the end of your life, you may well discover that the small group in the car experiences may be some of the times when God used you the most effectively.

Another of your U.S. friends at the place with all the "special" buildings... TB
