Theme was MEDIA - the effects of media and what it does to our minds & the follow-through with our actions. We played 'Name That Tune (and artist)' with music segments, had worksheets for them to tally up the amount of time they're influenced my media (radio on in background, watching TV or movies, magazines, newspapers, cell phones, internet...) And it was shocking to see how these youth (with the lack of 'technology' and 'things' that other teens have in America) are effected by media messages. It was eye-opening for everyone. Meagan brought a stron message of warning & consciousness for the fact that what should be the main influence in their life, GOD and the Bible, is rarely the main influence because of the worldly distractions. It was a powerful night!
God continues to bring new faces to Youth & allows us to minister to great and spiritually needy teens through this ministry. May God continue to use & bless this ministry team & Youth Group!
