No Recap, Rather Requests

Instead of a recap of April, I'd like to pose some Prayer Requests for May:

Prayer Requests for May 2013

. Cape Town Baptist Seminary (where Meagan goes to school) is sending a missions team of 11 studying-ministers to our church 12-19 May. Pastor Severo has given me the privilege of hosting and leading this team. I'm honored to have these students with us in ministry. Pray that they learn and are able to bless our church with their gifts! [I'll be in-touch with photos and details of their ministry!]

. Shades Mountain Baptist Church sends a University Team, 31 May - 9 June. Pray as this team comes together to plan and prepare for this journey. Pray for us on the field as we're coming upon lots of road-blocks to this team's schedule and ministry options. I know there's a purpose in all of these hiccups but with each turn and trial, I'm frustrated and having to readjust my outlook. Pray that God is glorified in all parts of this mission!

. Capricorn Community Church 9-week Interns arrive 29 May! Pray for Lauren, Allison and Maria! They embark on an adventure of community-ministry in a way that only God could have orchestrated. Our congregation are praying for them by name and ministry leaders are busy making plans for these 3 young ladies to plug into meaningful ministry with our church!

. Pray for Meagan as she finishes her first semester at Seminary. She's currently overwhelmed with assignments and work to be done. Pray for time-management, fruitful study-time, and wisdom that comes from the Spirit!

. I'm needing a Divine Intervention of sorts. I've felt down and discouraged lately. I've cried one too many tears due to injustice going on in Capricorn. I need God to reveal a new strategy and perspective. Ministry in Capricorn is like NO OTHER PLACE I've experienced. People in Capricorn seem to have different values, different outlooks, different standards - much of which come from the world, not Christ. Being a Christian in such a community is hard. Being a Christian leader is even harder. Pray that God will unveil eyes and bring a spiritual awakening to Capricorn! I'm not giving up. I'm persevering, but with a heavy heart and burden for justice!
