Church Bazaar - 30 Nov 2013

Capricorn Community Church held a community festival (Bazaar) in order to raise funds for a Christmas project. We collected donations, made cakes, planned games and grilled! The community came out in full-force for this day of fun and shopping. It was like a big flee-market - South African style. It was such a success - far beyond what we could have imagined! Our church people rallied together for a common cause - our children, our community!

Our Ladies' Ministry started this initiative, but our whole church was on board. One-hundred percent of the proceeds of this fundraiser are going to buying Food Parcels (a week's worth of groceries) for our Sunday School children's families for the Christmas week. This will mean a lot to these families - many of whom do not attend our church, but rather send their children to Sunday School. This gift to these families will be a foot in the door to ministering to non-believing or non-church-going families! We're excited about this project; pray with us as God opens doors for our members with the families of our Sunday School children (about 60 children).

I'm so proud of our people looking outside of their own troubles and seeking to serve our community. THIS IS A BIG STEP for the Kingdom and our little, beautiful church! Praise the Lord for His faithfulness!
