We ended the year with a party on the beach! We walked from Capricorn to my house for a Braai (BBQ) and a Christmas movie (Elf!). Then we walked to the beach for play-time. Such a fabulous venue for our pre-teens to enjoy the day together!
My new adventure in Children's Ministry has been quite the journey. It's not just about pre-teen ministry, but the learning curve for understanding this age-group in a foreign culture has been challenging! We're averaging 18 pre-teens (and have had up to 24 attendees) per Sunday ... meeting in a 10 x 20 foot bungalow.
I've been so impressed with how moldable this group is. They're eager to learn, they're respectful (for the most part), and their relationship with the Lord is fresh and exciting. Continue to pray for this group as we look at how to best minister to them in 2014!
