Meagan and her mom at Seminary Graduation and Awards Ceremony 2013 |
Our little Meagan has finished her first year of Seminary. I'm writing to report of the great success and achievement she's attained in this journey. All praise to the Lord; it's been a year of asking the Lord for strength and help!
Meagan finished as the top academic student in her class. Number ONE!
Meagan has also been voted into the Student Representative Counsel (Student Body Government) for the coming year. She is on the board with a handful of other classmates and is already attending meetings and planning for 2014! This very little girl is very influential!
Many of my friends from the USA have taken Meagan and her studies to heart. People see that God is at work in her and want to support that! A few have donated to Meagan's school tuition and books, while others (specifically the Student Ministry families of Shades Mountain Baptist Church) raised funds for Meagan to work part-time at our church so she could focus on her schoolwork and put into practice her studies immediately! I'm astounded how God has used my home-church in Alabama to raise up local leaders here in South Africa. I'm proud to call this church family my partners because they listen to our needs and meet them the best they know how! Thank you to the individuals who have supported Meagan this year! You're a blessing to me!
Pray now as Meagan has a study-break …
1. That God would refresh her mind and renew her energy.
2. She's still working part-time for the church and finishing the year with Youth Ministry and Christmas events. Pray that God would help her focus on the youth that need encouragement and hope in this holiday season.
3. Pray that God will provide for Seminary tuition for the coming years. We know God has led her on this path; we're waiting on His perfect timing and provision!
Thank you all for supporting the work done here in Capricorn, South Africa!
