Just a quick note about some recent challenges in Cape Town. The two communities that Andrew and I work in (Capricorn and Hout Bay) have both been through some trauma. Capricorn has seen violent protests, looting, and taxi-shootings. Hout Bay is currently facing riots and violence as well. Our work environments are volatile. There has also been a lot of violence toward women and children in our country. The news is full of horror stories and one such tragedy hit very close to home last week.
Our hearts are burdened and cry out for peace. Please pray for our country. Ask the Lord to transform hearts and minds toward Truth and respect for human life. Pray for us as we battle with this unrest and often feel anxious and burdened about social justice issues in our work. May Cape Town feel Jesus' love and be healed!
Blessings to you all. Thanks for following this journey and being prayer warriors. Here are links to some local news...Capricorn/Vrygrond: http://ewn.co.za/Topic/VrygrondHout Bay: http://ewn.co.za/Topic/Imizamo-Yethu
